Tour to Parque Estadual Cantareira - Pedra Grande - Wednesday - 14th MayOn the 14th of May we will leave USP 13h30 by bus to the National Park Cantereira. https://guiadeareasprotegidas.sp.gov.br/ap/parque-estadual-cantareira/ It should take about 1 hour to get there (mostly due to traffic). Address: Rua do Horto, 1799, São Paulo. It is considered one of the largest urban forests in the world, home to exuberant fauna – 388 species of vertebrates, 478 of invertebrates – and flora – cabuçu, jequitibá, juçara, cedar, xaxim, bromeliad – typical of the Atlantic forest. There, we will hike up to "Pedra Grande" (https://guiadeareasprotegidas.sp.gov.br/trilha/trilha-da-pedra-grande/). It is a 1h to 1h30 hike up a 3.3km easy (paved) path passing through the native Mata Atlantica up to 1010m altitude. Alternatively you can: - Take inner hike trails up through the woods to Pedra Grande. - Take a "golf cart" transfer up to Pedra Grande (no hiking). At Pedra Grande we will have some beverage and light snacks (Coconut water, cheese bread and maybe a beer if you like). If weather is nice, you could see the sunset there. (This social event will be fully included in the registration fee, that is, totally covered by the organization)

João Moura, 257 - Pinheiros, São Paulo - SP, 05412-001 (This social event will be fully included in the registration fee, that is, totally covered by the organization) Menu: (names of foods in Portuguese) Huge variety of meats served on "as much as you can eat" style (Rodízio): Picanha, Picanha com Alho, Picanha Nobre, Baby Beef, Alcatra, Maminha na Manteiga, Costela, Contrafilé Argentino, Cupim, Costela Tira, Leitão a Pururuca, Carret de Cordeiro, Picanha de Cordeiro, Paleta de Cordeiro, Frango, Filé de Frango, Filé Mignon, Coração de Frango, Costela Suína, Bife Ancho.
