Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)

on the Sphere Workshop

This workshop is about numerical solution techniques on modern and emerging computer architectures of the partial differential equations that govern weather, climate and ocean circulation.

Important dates:

• Abstract (talk / poster) submission deadline: 12th February
  
• Registration deadline: 12th of March
  

Particular topics of interest include:

• All aspects of dynamical core formulation
• Coupling between equations and with sub-grid scale parametrisations
• High-performance computing
• Test cases
• Equation sets
• Machine learning

The format of the workshop will be similar to the previous ones, with single sessions of oral presentations (no parallel sessions, no keynote speakers) from selected abstracts.

For the first time, the workshop will be in the South Hemisphere! Please feel welcome to come to Brazil!
